Community health centers across the nation celebrate National Health Center Week from August 9 through 15.
At Adelante, we use this annual observance as an occasion to honor our roots in caring for agricultural and farm workers.
2020 has been a particularly tough year for farmworkers.
Communal living quarters and close working conditions make avoiding the coronavirus difficult.
This summer’s record-breaking heat makes the already-tough work of being in the fields all day nearly unbearable.
And the ongoing economic disruption has added stress to families already stretched to the brink.
We can help by lending a hand.
For the remainder of August, we are asking team members, patients and friends to provide an extra helping hand to the migrant farmworkers who put food on our tables.
Early this summer, generous businesses and individuals in the Valley helped us provide grooming kits to more than 500 workers across the Valley.
We need your help to continue that effort.
You can help in two ways:
As an added bonus, financial donations to Adelante qualify for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit — which means you can donate up to $400 as a single taxpayer or $800 for married filers — at no out of pocket cost to you. Learn more here.
