Living with a chronic illness can be a challenge. It’s important to have a strong support system to address your needs. Whether that support comes in the form of a medical care team, behavioral health or other services such as nutrition, Adelante provides a strong support system.

What if I have unexplained weight loss or weight gain?

Unexplained changes can be a sign of a larger health concern. Our providers can help identify the possible causes and help provide you with treatment options if needed.

We are here to help at every stage of life including both Pediatrics and Adult medicine. We also have providers who focus on Women’s Health and even Behavioral Health, depending on your needs.

What if I can’t wait several weeks for an appointment?

Health problems such as the flu or an ear infection don’t stick to a schedule. When it happens, you need care as soon as you can get it.

At Adelante, our Eligibility and Enrollment team members are experts at helping people find affordable healthcare solutions, including helping with enrollment to programs such as AHCCCS.

What if I lost my job and don’t have insurance?

We think that you should have access to healthcare, even when you have an interruption to your insurance. We have a variety of payment structures, including a sliding fee scale.

What if I can’t get pregnant?

Our Women’s Health team can be an important resource for those looking to get pregnant. They can check your overall health and determine if there are any underlying health issues. We are here to help.

What if I have irregular periods?

There can be a number of reasons behind this. Our Women’s Health team is a good resource in helping understand what it means to you and your body.

What if I am having hot flashes?

Hot flashes can have a number of causes, and sometimes are a symptom of an underlying condition. They can happen to both women and men, for different reasons. If they are recurring, it is best to meet with our Adult Medicine team and learn about any potential treatments. For women, our Women’s Health team is a great place to turn for comprehensive care at every stage of life.

What if the last time my child flossed was during a dance contest?

We get it, flossing is something that a lot of kids and adults don’t do as often as they should. But, the benefits of regular dental and oral care extend into all areas of your health. What if the last time I saw a dentist was before COVID?

You are not alone. Many people stopped seeing their doctors and dentists for regular visits. It is important to get back into the dentist for a cleaning and checkup in the near future.

Food costs and food insecurity can be a big issue for many families. We are here to help you find resources. Our team of Dietitian Nutritionists can help families find healthy food options. Our Women, Infants & Children (WIC) program is designed to help new mothers with young children.

As an additional support, our Eligibility and Enrollment team helps people daily to find community resources for a variety of needs.

What if I need help feeding my baby or children?

It’s important the families get a healthy start, including access to a healthy diet.

Adelante Healthcare and the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Program have options for you including nutrition and health education, healthy food, and other services free to Arizona families who qualify. That includes good-for-you foods at no cost for women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, and their children under age 5! Learn more about who qualifies.

What if I need help with breastfeeding?

Breastfeeding education can be extremely important for new mothers. We have a variety of options available to help you and your family. Our teams in Pediatrics and Women’s Health can provide resources. Our WIC program also has a variety of options and longer-term support available for you as well.

What if I am struggling with an addiction but I want to stop?

We have a variety of options to help you if you are struggling with addiction. We are a safe space, where you can be open about your concerns.

The first option is to talk to your primary care physician. They can direct you to available resources and make sure you have all the information you need for your health.

Additionally, you can speak with our Behavioral Health team. They are there to listen and can provide a variety of helpful resources and program options.

You may be able to be seen right away through our Care Today service. Call and schedule an appointment right away.

What if I am overwhelmed by stress and anxiety?

Life can come at you fast and the feelings of stress and anxiety can definitely be overwhelming. We are here to help and provide solutions to help make it through your situation.

Our integrated behavioral health services work directly with your primary care physician. Our specialty behavioral health services are available for longer term, less acute mental health concerns.

What if I feel like I have no one to talk to?

This can be an overwhelming feeling. But we want you to know you are not alone. We are here to listen and be here to support you when and where you need us. You can reach out to your primary care physician or reach out directly to our behavioral health team.

What if I can’t afford my medication?

Medication can be a very expensive part of your healthcare. Adelante has partnered with pharmacies and other programs to help provide lower cost options. Mention your concerns to your health care provider and they can help provide a number of options.

What if I can’t take a day off to receive medical care?

We understand you can’t always come to one of our health care centers for an appointment for a variety of options. But, we still want to be here for you.

Depending on your need, we offer telehealth services, allowing you to make your appointment via computer.

Another option is our CareMobile, which is a mobile medical unit that goes to a variety of locations throughout Maricopa County.
