Nutrition Education to Keep Central Phoenix Families Happy and Healthy
Adelante Healthcare emphasizes the foundation of healthy living through a nutritious diet, especially for families in Central Phoenix. This commitment is why we partner with the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Program. In Central Phoenix, just like across the United States, WIC supports pregnant individuals, breastfeeding parents, and children under age 5 with access to nutritious foods at no cost, fostering healthy families within our community.
Who qualifies for WIC?
Across the United States, including Central Phoenix, AZ, WIC provides crucial nutrition and health education, wholesome food, and other services free of charge to qualifying families. Eligibility for WIC includes residing in Arizona, having a nutritional need (our team can assist in determining this), and being:
- Pregnant
- Have delivered a child within the last six months
- Breastfeeding a child within the last year
- Infants and children under the age of five, including foster children
What does WIC offer?

Applying for WIC is easy. Simply submit the necessary documents to get started. Here is what you’ll need:
- Your driver’s license or photo ID
- Identification for everyone enrolling in the program. For children, that may be a birth certificate, crib card, or shot card/immunization record
- Proof of address (ex. electric bill)
- Proof of income (ex. pay stub or letter from AHCCCS or SNAP)
