Why did you become a doctor?

I became an NP because I saw so many of my patients not understand or not even know their diagnoses. I wanted to be able to educate my patients on how they can help themselves with respect to their diagnoses.

Do you work or ‘float’ at other locations?

No.

What do you enjoy or find most fulfilling about caring for patients?   

Learning more about each patient as an individual.

What attracted you to a community health center for your practice?

I have always had a pull to public service.

If you could be anything else, what would you want to be?

Nothing. This is all I want to be.

Do you have children? If so, what are their ages?

I have three children. My oldest is 30, she is married with two children. Next is my son, 21 and then my baby is 18 and a senior in high school.

Do you have hobbies or a way you like to spend your time away from work?

I most enjoy camping in my fifth wheel trailer and spending time with my husband and fur babies.

Do you have a favorite book, movie or TV show?  

My favorite movie is The Princess Bride.
