Why did you become a healthcare provider?

I’ve always wanted to be a helper and an educator. My own experiences growing up in Puerto Rico and witnessing inequality and mental health disparities inspired me to become a Social Worker with the goal of improving mental health outcomes and advocating for those who are often overlooked.

Do you have hobbies or a way you like to spend your time away from work?

When I’m not at work I enjoy exploring Arizona, there’s always a hidden gem to discover. I’m also a big movie enthusiast and love a good binge session with family. And definitely a foodie, so I’m always on the lookout for the next great meal or dessert spot.

What do you enjoy or find most fulfilling about caring for patients?

I find it fulfilling to witness growth in my patients as they work through life’s challenges and reconnect with their strengths. Being part of their journey to elf-discovery especially within Latinx/Hispanic communities . I love working as an ally with my patients, its such a rewarding job.
