Why did you become a healthcare provider?

I completed EMT training, (Emergency Medical Technician) as a young woman, and fell in love with anatomy and physiology. Nursing was my next step.

What attracted you to a community health center for your practice? 

Many people experience obstacles in seeing a health care provider. Community health centers increase peoples access to quality medical care.

What do you enjoy or find most fulfilling about caring for patients? 

Definitely the relationship we build. I feel very satisfied when I can help someone achieve their health goals.

Do you have hobbies or a way you like to spend your time away from work?

I love to read a good book, watch movies, desert hiking and bike riding.

If you could be anything else, what would you want to be?

A movie star, winning an Oscar.
