Luz Lopez, LAC

Behavioral Health

Why did you become a healthcare provider?

I chose to become a therapist because I recognized the growing need for support, particularly within the Latino community, as I grew up. I have a deep passion for helping others, offering guidance, and empowering individuals to reach their fullest potential. It brings me great fulfillment to assist others in their journey toward personal growth and well-being.

What do you enjoy or find most fulfilling about caring for patients?

The thing that I find the most fulfilling is being able to help my community and empower people, especially at risk, more vulnerable people. Plus use my Spanish skills.

Do you have hobbies or a way you like to spend your time away from work?

My hobbies are: going on hikes, exercising (weightlifting), dancing, and trying out new coffee shops.

If you could be anything else, what would you want to be?

I would probably become a doctor.

Do you have a favorite book, movie or TV show?

Obviously, I love Mexican food but I also enjoy other foods such as Italian, Indian, and Thai food.
