I became a physician assistant in psychiatry because I’ve always felt a calling to help people. Mental health is just as vital as physical health, and is often overlooked. Working in psychiatry allows me to help patients find hope and stability, which can make a huge difference in quality of life, which is very meaningful to me.
When I am not working, I enjoy swimming, attending concerts, and spending time with my family.
I find building meaningful connections with patients to be the most fulfilling aspect of working in healthcare. I also value creating moments of joy. If I can make even one patient laugh a day who is struggling, there is no greater reward.
