I initially became interested in the mental health field after my husband returned from his second deployment with posttraumatic stress disorder. There were many things that I needed to learn to become a better support for him. As I made my way through this learning process, I discovered a deep passion for the mental health field.
I love spending as much time as I can with my family. Together we enjoy cooking, reading, traveling, watching movies, and playing with our two cats.
The most fulfilling part of caring for patients is witnessing an ‘aha’ moment, where a shift happens, change occurs, the world broadens, and an individual sees that something else is possible.
