Behavioral Health

Why did you become a behavioral health specialist ?

One day, decades ago, I was watching the nightly news with my father. The main story was about a young boy whose entire family perished in a house fire, he was the only survivor. The story highlighted that this child was safe and getting assistance with shelter, food, and in locating extended family members. I remember asking my father who this amazing lady was and he stated, “She’s a Social Worker.” At that moment I knew that I wanted to be like that lady and help others in need.

What attracted you to a community health center for your practice?

One of my core values is to help the most vulnerable, just like non-profit community health centers are created to do.
