Adelante Healthcare was the focus of a June 7 visit by Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra and Director of the United States Domestic Policy Council Neera Tanden.
The administration representatives were at an event hosted by Adelante as part of an announcement of $500 million from the federal government to the Healthcare Navigator program, which provides support to people in finding healthcare coverage through the Healthcare Marketplace.
CEO Pedro Cons moderated a round table discussion on the impact of the Navigator Program in Arizona, joined by community stakeholders, including Secretary Becerra, Tanden, and Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) Director Carmen Heredia. The panel and visit were partly organized by the Arizona Alliance for Community Health Centers and CEO Jessica Yanow.
Adelante’s Eligibility and Enrollment team is part of the Navigator program. It works daily to help families understand their insurance coverage and program eligibility, find cheaper options, and ultimately apply.
Adelante’s Brenda Cardenas spoke with Secretary Becerra about our work in the program, along with patient Cecilia Fernandez, who was aided in finding care for her family.
