AHCCCS Changes Are Coming

A new federal law, H.R. 1, will introduce several changes to Medicaid and AHCCCS between 2025 and 2032.

Beginning in 2027, some AHCCCS members may be required to:

  • Participate in work, school, volunteering or another qualifying activity
  • Report qualifying activities
  • Renew their AHCCCS coverage every six months

Not every AHCCCS member will be affected. Adelante is developing clear information and resources to help Arizona families understand the changes and prepare.
