September 16-22 is National Farm Safety and Health Week!
According to the Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries, agriculture continues to have the highest rate of fatalities in any industry sector. Considered one of the most dangerous jobs in America, the majority of farmworker injuries occur through either falls or machinery.
This years theme “Cultivating the Seeds of Safety” aims to highlight the safe practices put in place to keep farmworkers safe, including being sure everyone knows what to do in the event of an emergency.
