Behavioral Health

Why did you become a behavioral health specialist?

I became a behavioral health professional because I saw there was a need in my community that was not being addressed and I knew that I could make a difference. I set out to make those changes and that is why I am here doing all that I can to assist people in need, spiritually, mentally and body.

What attracted you to a community health center for your practice?

I initially came to community health because a friend recruited me. I stayed because I feel that I have the ability to assist many people in need of my services and who may not afford it otherwise.

What do you enjoy or find most fulfilling about caring for patients?

I enjoy teaching patients ways of coping with their emotional health. it is fulfilling to recognize them finally getting concepts and making changes they never thought were possible.

If you could be anything else, what would you want to be?

If I could be anything else I would be involved in policy and research because I love understanding why things are the way they are and how to change them for the better.

Do you have hobbies or a way you like to spend your time away from work?

I enjoy spending time with family, or traveling and I do that as much as possible.
