Martha Tambini

Behavioral Health

Why did you become a Behavioral Health Therapist?

I have always loved helping people find their voice and realizing they are not alone in their struggles. To work with patients and see their growth and change is very rewarding.

What do you enjoy or find most fulfilling about caring for patients?

Being able to guide patients on their journey and give them tools that will build their self-esteem and enable them to achieve their goals is very fulfilling for me.

What attracted you to a community health center for your practice?

The desire to provide care to community members regardless of their socioeconomic status, emotional, mental, and/or physical issues.

If you could be anything else, what would you want to be?

I love to cook so I would probably be a chef. However, I also love teaching, which is something I have done for many years, at the community college level.

Do you have children? If so, what are their ages?

I have an adult son who lives in AZ.

Do you have hobbies or a way you like to spend your time away from work?

In addition to cooking, I enjoy quilting and crocheting, reading, and playing piano. But the thing I enjoy most is playing with my three fur babies.

Do you have a favorite book, movie or TV show?

One of my favorite movies is “What About Bob?”
