Why did you become a nurse practitioner?

I became a Nurse practitioner to give back to people and the community with my work. I am driven to heal and help.

What attracted you to a community health center for your practice?

I have utilized services from Community health centers for my own personal care. I believe in the medical home model and its benefit to the patient.

What do you enjoy or find most fulfilling about caring for patients?

I enjoy educating my patient and developing relationships that benefit the patient. This is the most fulfilling part of my career.

If you could be anything else, what would you want to be?

Well, I was a carpenter in a previous career and I really love working with my hands. So, I guess this would be my choice.

Do you have children? If so, what are their ages?

I have a 17 year old daughter.

Do you have hobbies or a way you like to spend your time away from work?

I love to hike and be outside, especially when it includes spending time with my family.

Do you have a favorite book, movie or TV show?

I loved the movie Good Will Hunting. If I can find the time for reading I enjoy classic literature such as Charles Dickens or mystery novels.
