We believe sustainable building practices have the power to heal. Nowhere is this more evident than in the Murphy School District's new Education and Health Center in South Phoenix. Awarded with the coveted Silver LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification by the U.S. Green Building Council, this center serves the health care needs of the surrounding community in an environmentally responsible setting.
More than 20 percent of the building materials used to construct this facility were recycled, and all were sourced within a radius of 500 miles from the center. Solar panels generate efficient, low-cost electricity while water-saving features throughout the building reduce water consumption by 30%.
Green building materials and advanced lighting and temperature controls further contribute to one of the healthiest buildings in all of Phoenix, and to the wellness of our patients and the community in which they reside.
