Health Start

Adelante Healthcare is devoted to helping expectant mothers, their babies and their families remain healthy. Health Start is a counseling program designed for pregnant women and teens who may have difficulty affording prenatal care. Trained health workers provide valuable, home-based guidance for women during their pregnancies and after birth.

There is no cost to enroll in Health Start. The program offers counseling services throughout the West Valley and at all Adelante locations. The following services are available:

  • Pregnancy testing
  • Answer questions about pregnancy and neonatal care
  • Assistance with locating a doctor
  • Labor and delivery preparation
  • In-home pregnancy consulting
  • Neonatal health visit and family checkup
  • Identification of payment solutions for your delivery
  • Assistance with completing forms and making appointments for services related to AHCCCS and WIC
